Another piece from school. So it's true, I haven't put up any new work since Christmas, but that will change. I just signed a contract to design several icons for a local restaurant that they will use on their menus and in their decor. I'm pretty excited about it. Finally, some more illustration work! I can now come out of hibernation.

I'm Blue (da ba dee da ba daa)

I'm just starting to realize that almost all of my illustrations are blue. Wait, that can't be right! I like green, that's my favorite color! Well, it's true, most of my illustration have a very blue tone to them. Maybe it's because I do so many night time scenes. Maybe it's because I did an entire poetry reader, twenty illustrations, only able to use shades of blue. After that I thought I would never want to use blue again, but things have not turned out that way. Maybe I'm just more comfortable with blue since I've used it so much, I know what it's going to do. Well, I'll have to do a non blue painting. It'll just have to wait until after the two paintings I'm currently working on... both of which are quite blue with blue underpaintings...
