Illustration Friday: Tales and Legends

Even though I'm still working on this project, I wanted to post it while IF was still on Tales and Legends because it fit so perfectly. This is the first painting I've done just for myself in a long, long time, if ever. I'd love to hear some feedback.

Very beautiful. I really like the concept of this piece. Love foxes too.
I'm so glad someone realized it was a fox. ^.^
I really like the idea of this - the fox made of wood, and the way the fox's 'mask' echoes the green man masks.
For me - since you say its unfinished - I want something a little more at the bottom, to complement and balance the stars. Maybe a scattering of stylised plants like in renaissance paintings - that would suit the fox which could almost be out of a tapestry.
I can see this is going to be a great piece! It is already, but I think Kathleen's suggestions would make it even more so. I love the glowing stars in the background, really, everything about it.
Great idea and I love the fox's skin texture. I wonder what the tale would be.
